New Belgrade

Novi Beograd was planned in the sixties to serve as the new administrative capital of Yugoslavia. The dissolution of the federation after the 199os left it as a dormitory periphery of the Serbian Capital. Tesserae’s members have been investigating the history and the present condition of New Belgrade in several occasions, starting from the plan  for a new episode of the ogino:knaus  Re:Centering Periphery documentary project.
